Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 7 – KILLARNEY & RING OF KERRY
Our second day in Killarney was one I was really looking forward to. Even though we were in for quite a long day of driving, I was excited to see the demonstration of the sheep dogs at work. Plus, we would be driving the famous Ring Of Kerry.

Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 6 – KILLARNEY & CLIFFS OF MOHER
At this point, I’m a bit behind in trying to recap each day. We’ve been pretty busy between all of the driving around and of course, the pub hopping. Haha. I wish I was able to get some writing done on the bus, but unfortunately it always makes me feel sick. But anyway, day 6 on the tour was one of our favorites. They’ve all been great, but this was a day that we got to knock a pretty big bucket list item off of our lists. The Cliffs of Moher.

Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 5 – GALWAY & CONNEMARA
After a pretty late night of pub hopping around Galway, we woke up bright and early to join our tour group for breakfast in our hotel. The day was packed with all kinds of activities that I honestly wasn’t too excited about. But one of the things that I’ve learned from being on this tour is that those are the days that often times seem to surprise us!

Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 4 – GALWAY & BELLEEK POTTERY
Yesterday, we traveled from Donnegal to Galway. One of the many benefits of utilizing a bus tour is not needing to actually worry about getting yourself around. You can sit and relax, enjoying the view of the countryside as you go by. Sadly, I can’t seem to ride on the bus without falling asleep, so I end up missing most of it. Haha

Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 3 – DONEGAL & SLIEVE LEAGUE
The last couple of days, we’ve stayed in Donnegal in this hotel called Mill Park. The hotel is okay, but it seems like each guest has some little thing that could be improved. One couple didn’t have any pictures hanging in their room, one said they had to maneuver the toilet a special way for it to flush, and for us – and many others – we could not connect to the wifi, and if we did the connection was very weak and did not last long at all. They’re little things, but sometimes they are what determine your experience in a place. For us, ample access to some decent…

Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 2 – DONEGAL & GAME OF THRONES
In Ireland at this time of year, the sun stays up until nearly eleven o’clock at night. After not realizing quite how late it was and a few too many coffees, we found ourselves awake until close to 2 am last night. So, when our alarms went off at 6:30 this morning, we were far from well rested. But we drug ourselves out of bed and made it downstairs just in time for breakfast.

Irish Explorer Bus Tour: Day 1 – DUBLIN
Sean and I LOVE traveling and plan to take two bigger trips each year; one international and one within the U.S.. When we made the decision to make Ireland our international trip of 2018, we did so partly because of a co-worker of mine who suggested the tour company, CIE Tours.

A Weekend in Washington D.C.
Over Memorial Day weekend, Sean and I took a trip out to our nation’s capital. We were able to book a place super last minute in Baltimore. We would have loved to book somewhere a little closer, but we were happy just to have a place to stay that didn’t cost us a fortune. I had visited Washington DC before with some of my 8th grade class as part of a school trip, but Sean had never been, so I was excited to share this experience with him. We had a full two days in the city, and with a limited budget, we found this was one of the best…

Heart’s Content – A Magic Forest
How would you like to experience somewhere truly magical? In the midst of the Allegheny National Forest lies a trail filled with so much magic, you will never want to leave.

Virginia Beach on a Budget
Sean and I LOVE traveling and exploring new places, but we also have this desire to do that full time. So for us, that means taking a lot of weekend trips throughout the year that don’t break the bank or set us back on our goals. We recently took some time to visit Virginia Beach, and although we only had a day to explore what has become the largest city within the common wealth, we found that there were plenty of ways to have fun that didn’t put a dent in our wallets (or our goals).
