6 Reasons To Visit Pennsylvania This Fall
With the announcement of the pumpkin spiced latte at Starbucks and the adornment of autumn decor at TJ Maxx, it’s clear that Fall is right around the corner. I feel like it’s said every single year, but I’ll repeat it because well, it’s true. This year is flying, and it’s hard to believe that summer is already coming to a close. Sienna and Aria are both getting into their school routines, the mornings are beginning to have that crisp sensation in the air and all of the fall decorations we have stored in the basement are practically screaming to be let out. So, needless to say, we’ve been thinking off…

Foxburg, PA
Recently, Sean and I took a trip to the small, but charming, town of Foxburg, Pennsylvania. One of Sean’s very good friends was getting married in the area, so we took the weekend to explore all that Foxburg had to offer. While Foxburg, PA has never been high on our list of places to travel to, we were interested to learn some of the fascinating history that surrounds the area.

Roanoke, Virginia is for lovers – lovers of fine wines, gorgeous scenery, furry friends and healthy restaurants. To be honest, Virginia is the first place that Sean and I have visited together that has felt like home.

Raven’s Guide to Becoming a B.A.R.K. Ranger
I guess I should start by saying that, truly, Raven could have cared less about becoming a B.A.R.K. Ranger or adding a tag to her collar. But, as a very devout dog mom and National Park Geek, I felt it was 100% necessary – and exciting!

Hiking in Cook Forest: Seneca Point Trail
Pennsylvania is an extremely wooded state, so it can be difficult to get a good view of anything when you're hiking, which is what makes this particular spot one of my favorites to hike, even in the winter.

10 FALL HIKES in WESTERN PA
If you’re like me, then you’re not only excited about the upcoming fall season, but you’re already planning for it too. I know, I know. “It’s only August, Jamie.” But I can’t help it. We’ve had some pretty grey and drizzly days here lately in PA, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s too early to bring out the fall decorations. Yeah, yeah. I get it. I’ve gotta wait until AT LEAST September. But until then, I’ve been busy researching some of the best things to do in our area when it finally does come time to start celebrating. Sean and I are big into hiking, and we LOVE…

DUBLIN: What to SEE, DO, EAT, DRINK & HOW to GET AROUND/WHERE to STAY
Sean and I had the chance to spend about a week in Dublin while we visited Ireland. Just like most cities, Dublin has a little something for everyone. There’s plenty of history to be explored, hip coffee shops and an incredibly fun night life. Whatever you’re visiting for, Dublin has you covered.

A Day in Pittsburgh with Mom & Dad
This past weekend, my parents flew in to PA from California. It was their first time coming to see me since I’d moved away from home, and I was so excited to show them everything our little part of Western PA had to offer. We spent the first part of our weekend showing them one of our local state parks, Moraine, and went out boating on Lake Arthur. It was a nice, sunny day but wasn’t too warm, so it was a perfect day to be out on the water. We had the girls with us that day as well, so they got a chance to spend a little time…
